EDM Drilling is a process in which a brass or copper tube is used to drill a hole into a conductive material, hard or soft, quickly and efficiently.
Key Benefits:

1. EDM drilling can drill holes in hardened steel, exotic alloys, carbides, virtually anything that conducts.
2. EDM drilling can quickly drill holes from .008" diameter up to .124" diameter, depending on your needs
3. Using the EDM process, the drilling is performed burr free, with very little recast layer or cobalt depletion in carbides.
4. Using the EDM process, a 1mm (.04") diameter hole can be drilled in a 2" thick hardened A2 part in (90) seconds.
5. EDM drilling can achieve depths and straightness on small holes impossible to achieve with conventional drills.
6. Using the EDM drill, broken taps and drills can be easily removed without hurting the parent part. Holes can be drilled on the sides of steep angles, on location without typical deflection using normal drills.
7. Automatic indexer for drilling multiple holes in round parts.
Capabilities:
1. Hole sizes from .008" to .125" diameters, larger holes can easily be burned using our conventional EDM.
2. Holes can be drilled in any conductive material quickly and easily, including carbides, exotics, and hard steels.
3. Holes are drilled burr free, without excessive heat buildup or distortion.
